The goal of NaNoWriMo is 10K words in the month of November. This is a solid but manageable task.
So this is a good time to start gathering the support of family and friends. Not only does this hold you accountable but you get your very own cheer team and people will understand when you start running around spouting “Great Scott” like Dr. Emmett L. Brown!
Another reason to start gathering support now is that there will be pitfalls and roadblocks. It happens to everyone. American’s have Thanksgiving to contend with, and in my family I have three very important birthdays. Something will always come up and by getting support now, you will have help to manage what crisis arise, even if it is only “I need more words!”
It is only once a year, for thirty days…
Bonus – After you have won on November 30, December seems like such a breeze with so much more free time!
